Mr. Perry is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Polaris Risk Management where he oversees all divisions.
Prior to starting Polaris, Mr. Perry was the founder and CEO of NorthStar Risk Management which he incorporated in 1993. During his tenure, NorthStar was recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as the fourteenth fastest growing privately held company in Northern California.
Mr. Perry, prior to founding NorthStar, was a Business Lines Agent and member of the Business Executive Council with Nationwide Insurance Company. As one of their top ten agents in the United States, Mr. Perry was repeatedly recognized as a member of the President's Council. With a five year combined Loss Ratio of 42%, Mr. Perry ran one of the most profitable Agencies in the Nationwide System.
Prior to joining Nationwide, Mr. Perry was hired by Corroon & Black (now Willis) as an Assistant Vice President to start up a Risk Management Division. Focusing on diversification from their heavy Construction Services book he developed OCIP’s which at the time were not a widely accepted risk management tool. During his four years at C&B, he was routinely invited to the President's Council
Mr. Perry’s career began in 1978 as an Account Executive with Marsh and McLennan (now Marsh) in the Public Entity Division – San Francisco. Mr. Perry was responsible for developing the property program for the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) in order to complement the Liability program Marsh already controlled.
